Our client provides multiple lines of insurance—auto, homeowner, commercial, and others—to residents and businesses throughout the northeastern United States.

The Background

Sudden market changes and new opportunities catalyzed a major initiative to make the company’s operations more agile and efficient. The IT architecture, however, was severely limiting progress toward these goals. Tightly integrated, operating on 1985 software, the system had no ability to automate processes or handle complex new market opportunities, among other limitations. As it turns out, the company was facing just such an opportunity, as it expanded its insurance lines into a new state with unique rules and procedures.
