Case Studies by Phases of BPM Lifecycle
Blue Slate has deep expertise in all phases of the BPM Lifecyle.
In the Strategy Phase our strategists and analysts work closely with clients to understand optimization goals, review existing workflows and business processes, and look for simplification, automation, and optimization opportunities within their business processes. During this phase business rules are harvested, new workflows and business processes are identified, and data structures are spelled out. If a new BPM tool is required to achieve the optimization goal, a vendor selection exercise would occur during this phase. If an enhancement to an existing BPM solution is required, that enhancement will be functionally specified in this phase.
In the Implementation Phase, new (or enhanced) systems and/or processes are enabled to realize the optimization goals set forth in the strategy phase. This phase may include delivering a new BPM system leveraging a commercial product such as Pega or Appian, enhancing an existing BPM solution with new workflows or business rules, creating a custom solution, etc.
The Support Phase allows clients to implement metrics and monitor the solution to ensure they are receiving the expected value. These measurements are critical inputs to the BPM Lifecycle and allow client to make "course modifications" based on changing business conditions.
